Was this played on the award show or is it just a stand alone comedy thing? This looks like something they'd do for MTV movie awards or something.

It was shown at the 2010 South African Music Awards (he announces the winner at the end), so yes just like one of those sketches that do at the MTV awards. I also like the fact they chose Charlize Theron in the sketch as she's South African, maybe it makes Wikus feel more at home!

Charlize sounds so weirded out, I think this video was done without her prior knowledge, not prearranged, like something a crazy fan would do. She even wishes Wikus good luck with acting. Makes me believe she didn't pay any attention to the actor's name who played the part, and said "Wikus" when she meant "Sharlto" if she even knew/recalled his name. It's funny, just wonder wether Charlize was in on it or not.
