One major thing that weirded me out about the movie is the kiss at the end when Mindy (Hit Girl) came up to Dave (Kick Ass) and just kissed him.

I understand that her hormones were raging because she was going through puberty, but HIM?

I thought the purpose of giving Kick Ass a girlfriend in the movie was BECAUSE they WANTED TO AVOID him (Dave/KickAss) as the love/lust interest for Hit Girl/Mindy?

Pretty pointless of giving him a girlfriend in the movie if Mindy is going to choose him as the love interest for her. I thought she was gonna pick.. well.. ANYONE else.

Lucky guy though .... he was what? Fresh out of highschool? And he got to get it on with a freshman fresh girl who is also a total major hottie!

I don't think it matters what they did with the characters at the end of the movie. They're not making a Kick Ass 3 are they?

This one was much worse than the first. I loved the first.

Considering she was leaving town, I really don't think she kissed him to claim him as a boyfriend. More like she respected & cared about him, so she chose him to be her first kiss. In the comics she disappears after part 3 and Dave never sees her again anyways.

Exactly. She just wanted a first kiss with someone really important in her life.

I wish it was just a kiss on the cheek. It would have been the perfect ending.

With a cheek kiss, it shows that Hit-Girl/Mindy has a much sweeter side than she's been shown with during the two films and that she cares about Dave while also showing her platonic love(?) for him.

Versus the obviously romantic lips kiss that basically showed nothing aside from the feeling that she wanted to bone him which was totally out of character. :/

Umm. it wouldn't be OOC for any female teenager character to show sexual attraction to a guy around her age with a nice body, unless she was established as being a lesbian. And we saw no signs of that so... I think everything was fine.

No, she was definitely crushing on him. Whether Dave had feelings for her is up for debate. He clearly cared about her a lot, possibly not seeing her in a romantic light though (yet?) since she was only 15. Mindy implied that she'll remain in touch with him, so who knows what the future might hold for them.
