instead they should have used scenes like the original training montage, where hit girl drop lines like , remove your tampon dave !
the movie should have been more dark comedy and grittier.

I would definitely say yes, the change in director was a poor decision. I loved the first film from start to finish and I was so disappointed when this travesty made it to the screen. The sick stick scene did accomplish one thing though, it managed to send an already very poor film straight over the edge. Horrible Sequel!
shareAgreed. A while bunch of stuff should have been cut - possibly the whole film. It felt like a poorly written attempt to quickly cash in on a surprise hit yet it actually appeared 3 years later. It was a real pity because the 1st film was really good.
