3rd victim being killed

I missed that part. Who killed him and why.

reply

The girl killed him because his father wasn't there to send the ransom money. Didn't make a whole lot of sense (like pretty much the whole movie), except to set up the situation where the dead kid's father paid the ransom for Ray Liotta's character.

reply

Well the part where the other two deceived the father of the dead one was an important plot element since it made it seem that Ray Liotta may have planned it

damn...spoiler alert much????

I will never understand people who come to a movie message board where we all dissect each and every aspect of every movie ever made....and then whine about being spoiled...

reply

It's just a matter of common courtesy is all that I am saying. I totally understand where you're coming from however, most people do not include a key aspect of the movie in the main part of the subject line. Hence the term- 'spoiler alert'. The main reasons that I come to IMDB is to get information, background, feedback, opinions, etc-'dissect a movie" as you put it. I would like to be able to make my own determination if I want to view a thread- to decide if I want to be spoiled or not. That why people cloak their message or state "contains spoilers"...or spoilers ahead. Not whining...just stating a fact.

reply

I get your point, but I don't open up vaguely-titled threads. Such as "I'm Wondering About... (SPOILERS)". That's such a time-waster to open up threads to see the topic being something which doesn't interest me in the slightest. If I don't want spoilers, I will go to wikipedia, youtube or the official website of the movie to get general (non-spoilery) information. To me, imdb.com is about going over everything with a fine-toothed comb, which is spoiler-city. Imdb.com is the last place I would come to get information about a movie for which I did not want to be spoiled.

reply

Don't worry. That spoiler is not important.

ndrp: This is the DISCUSSIONS section. People here are discussing a movie they've already seen. It's as if you went to the theater, and as people are walking out after seeing a movie you are about to see, you follow them and hang around, and when you hear a spoiler, you bitch at them. How stupid can you be? If you want to know whether you should watch the movie or not, read the REVIEWS section. God I'm sick of stupid people who don't know what the term "discussion" means. We are here to discuss plot points, and character fates, and there will be spoilers, got it? This section is not for idiots who can't decide whether they want to watch the movie or not. Besides, "3rd victim being killed" doesn't really give away anything--do you know WHO the 3rd victim is? No. Besides, if you watch the movie, this happens in the first 15 min anyway, so quit your complaining.

^^this

Exactly.

What spoiler?

If you mean the thread title, then it gives nothing away. If anything, it is misleading given that only one hostage died.

If you mean the post that explained the murder, why would anyone who hadnt seen the movie open a death thread if they were worried about spoilers? Did you just want to tell someone off?

I think the reason why he was the one the writers chose to be killed was because he came across as the least likeable person, no viewer would really care or sympathise with him.
