necrosis bar was different

there was some lowbudget zombieflick a while ago where they (human badasses) *beep* random zombies on the streets. can't remember the title but that was the first time i saw intercourse between live humans snd zombies. but yes, the necrosis was new.

also the very first scene of the movie: the 7year-old-ish kid whose guts got slurped out while he was still conscious (at least i had the impression that he was) was a new level of gruesomness. depicting child murder was until then somewhat a tabo in the movie industry. not anymore.

in the pilot to walking dead they also had a little zombified girl. but she was at least a teenager. also z-nation touched the subject of zombified kids (in this case a toddler) recently.

a new level of depicting stuff was definitely reached with dead genesis. but the movie lacked in many other aspects. so only a 6/10.
i was thinking while watching this movie how it would have turned out if romero (a young romero at the height of his game) had done dead genesis. complete with proper eerie soundtrack. less shakycam and even more blood'n'guts. ;-)
