Was this movie supposed to be viewed as a comedic parody?

Because if you watch it in that light its actually pretty funny/cool. If you take it remotely seriously as a work of "mysterious science fiction" you will absolutely hate this.

Even as parody this stinking pile is sad, boring, and dumb.

Movie was great and you probably like Transformers so that explains everything. Do yourself a favor and stay away from starwars cuz it'll probably be great as well.
