This movie really hit home!

As a 40-something woman raised Catholic, Kathleen Turner's character reminds me so much of my own devoutly Catholic mother! While my family was not quite as dysfunctional, Eileen's reactions to certain uncomfortable situations were eerily like those of my own mother! Would love to hear if others raised Catholic felt the same way. What a great film! Highly recommend!

It hit home for me too, but I am not Catholic. I was raised in church though, and my mother refused to go with me as a kid. Later on, she traded the bottle for the bible and is now all Hell fire and brimstone. I could go on, but I just don't have it in me today.
