Saw it today - greatly enjoyed

Gee I'm suprised by the lack of activity on the boards so far!

I saw 'The Cup' today and really enjoyed it! Thought it had a very good cast - Brendan Gleeson is always quality, Stephen Curry is always very likeable, and nice to see Tom Burlinson in it along with a great array of Aussie talent on show.
Thought the racing scenes were very well shot, the film was moving (I got very teary with what happened to the brother), and the ending was a real high point.

Very nicely done. :)

Do you have monkeys in Scotland?
~No, but if we did we'd probably deep fry them!

I saw this movie yesterday and was quite happy with the treatment of the subject. It can't be easy trying to film such a well known event, but I though the whole movie was a pretty good job. The character of Oliver's wife should have been done by a more capable actor. The part of Lee freedman was a trifle unbelievable, but these are only small quibbles. Overall, a very enjoyable movie!
