Île au noir?

Does anyone know where the Île au noir is (if it exists) or where those parts of the movie were filmed if it doesn't? A lot of Googling for both that name and the English translation in the subtitles (Isle of Black) didn't turn up anything likely, so I suspect the name is fictitious; but none of the locations given in the credits as filming locations ("Tourné à Montréal, Longueuil, Ville de Laval et dans la région de Charlevoix") seems like it would be as desolate and isolated as that place looks, AND require a considerable boat trip across a large expanse of ice-filled water (with nothing visible on the horizon) to reach.

The island was invented for the film. But I would say with almost total certainty that those scenes were filmed in the Charlevoix region, up in the Saint Lawrence river estuary.
