For what it is this movie wasn't bad, however, I can't stand incomplete endings, why tell us that this number of people died, then not confirm who they were? The number of dead I was sure about didn't match the number given at the end. I don't know if it's meant to be some artistic statement or was just a messy ending.

that wasn't a wound on his head, it's stated in the film that those protrusions were from the drug and its shown that they went away when the drug's effects end.
There are not 6 fatalities, there are 5 if you assume the indian guy died (which i dont think is fair to assume since he's shown moving around at the end), they just got it wrong. they also got the name of the last woman to die wrong on the sheet which said who had the placebos. the film was just rushed or something, don't overthink it.

paul-tait you say to not overthink it but they want you to think about what happened in this movie and understand that there are things in this world going on that are just not right in regards to pharmaceutical testing and accountability of the companies involved.

That's it. At the end, Jed seems to be more or less OK. Morty is still suffering from the drug, and Arif is injured but still alive. Adam is still alive and well. Who are the other two deaths?
I don't think the statement that six people died is a simple mistake. I think we're meant to think that two of the initial survivors died. Arif, maybe, because he was so badly wounded, but who's the other one? It's unclear, which is a bit pointless and annoying.
Also, the deaths we see have some symbolic significance. The doctor and security guard are representatives of the company, and they're killed by test subjects of the drug. Katie was presented as a cold-hearted opportunist, out to exploit the problems experienced by the others, and she's killed by Morty, a dedicated guinea pig and the only one of the group who's obviously down-and-out. Joni is another dedicated guinea pig (a "pharma's daughter"), and she dies from being stabbed with syringes or from the drugs in the syringes - a very medical way to die.
And ... I've probably just put more time into this post than the writers did on the script.
What about the nurse? Did she die?

Wish there had been 5 minutes of follow through: what happened to the survivors, what was the drug for, how would the survivors be kept shut unless it was with a bullet or massive amounts of money.

No I don't think the nurse died. Didn't Arif watch her running away from the building before he went crazy? Was the nurse called Madeleine? She talks to the others over the walkie-talkie near the end?

I did wonder if the nurse got killed as well. I thought we saw her running outside from something. But no the unemployed guy didn't die I don't think. 2 of the women subjects died. The journalist and pharma daughter. I don't know why that one woman stayed with Morty. Baffles me why she did that. I would have gone with Adam.
