I didn't stay to the end of the credits but I see one credit that mentioned a crew or casting in Canada. Do the films (or the books) take place in Canada? Or do they just use Canada because it's more economical to make movies there?
shareYes, many American films are shot in Canada due to economic reasons, i.e. generally cheaper to make them there. Also, if you noticed the call sign for the local TV station, it was WYXP which is a call that would not be used by any broadcaster in Canada. The film took place somewhere in the eastern US.
