Horrible!

One of the worst zombie movies I have ever seen. The 4.4 rating is accurate.

Actually Humans Versus Zombies is worse, but it's close to the worst

It was ok...
These following movies were a lot worst.

zombie apocalypse
the horde
zone of the dead

Agreed, it is far from the worst (although the 4.x rating is still accurate). I have literally seen dozens of worse movies than this. I found it to be a refreshing change from a lot of the drivel i have seen recently as it was not completely offensive (except for the "let's walk straight THROUGH the horde" scene, that was BAD!)

reply

Yeah, I just watched it...and I couldn't believe that scene.

I love a good "bad" zombie movie like most people love oxygen. But 20 minutes in and I'm angry at how bad this is....I don't even know where to start. Now Zombie Apocalypse - that is cinematic art compared to this.

Zombie Apocalypse, the SciFi one? Then i agree with you (although i gave both this and that a 4). I was entertained, so that is important to me in the first place, the actual competence of the people involved i rate secondary. I like Zombie Apocalypse better (no sprinters), but this was not so bad overall either. I have seen much worse...

Don't forget Redneck Zombies.

I'm all things zombie and horror but this movie went from alright to horrible

Dead Season wasn't as horrible as you think.

--Ever seen a 10 yr. old executed for being bitten?
--Tweeter had a great body. I mean outstanding.
--The references to other zombie movies, games, and books were numerous and reverential.

1. The island setting is actually reminiscent of the 1979 flick Zombie.
2. The quasi military set up has the same character set-up as the army guys in Day of the Dead (even down to the cigar chomping guy).
3. The scene where the doctor explores how to harvest fresh human meat is much like the Dr. Logan character in Day of the Dead
4. There are runners--like the Dawn of the Dead remake and 28 Days Later
5. The obvious scene where the boat guy is reading Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide
6. In the scene where Kurt Conrad and Elvis are running through the warehouse, Kurt calls out "Reloading" several times--just like in both Left4Dead video games.
7. The boar scene at the end references the Dawn of the Dead remake.

--The gore is the best since the Dawn of the Dead remake or 28 Days or Weeks Later
--The young guy goes to his execution after being bitten honoring his war veteran father.

Rough in places, nonsensical in others (there is an entire nation of clothes laying around and Tweeter can't find ANY other shirt to wear?), but all in all not as schlocky as it could have been. Sift through it again and find the good stuff--if you can.
