Laughed when they called the zombies 'Walkers'
Cant live up to Walking Dead, just 1 thing among a massive list of crap that is wrong with this movie.

shareI don't think Walking Dead invented the term "walkers", it must have been used in other movies. It's just a general rule that Zombie movies never refer to them as "zombies".
shareNo, there are quite a few zombie movies from the past few years that call zombies zombies.
In "The Walking Dead", part of the premise (according to comic creator Robert Kirkman) is that it takes place in a world where there have never been zombie movies. The concept doesn't exist in its popular culture. So, when dead people start walking around and eating the living, they don't have a word for it.
I haven't seen "Dead Season" (although it's about to come on the SyFy Channel), but it kind of sounds like a rip-off of George Romero's original screenplay for "Day of the Dead" (which was later scaled down -- because Romero chose to make an unrated movie rather than an R, and thereby lost half his budget).
"The truth 24 times a second."
Do you have a link to Robert saying that, because Rick and Tyresse got a conversation when they first met, about how they cant bring them self to call the zombies, zombies, so they do know what they are.
shareNope. I've seen a TON of zombie movies (my favorite kind of horror movie) and never heard the term "walkers" until The Walking Dead. When I heard it in this movie it was jarring. Maybe the filmmakers are Kirkman fans, I dunno.
There is no rule about not calling zombies zombies in zombie movies. Others have done it. It takes a while in some movies for the characters to figure out what they're dealing with and then commence to calling them zombies.
