OK, maybe I'm totally seeing things NOT there (since I can find NO thread on this, though I do on incest but NOT THIS specific few seconds) but there's a QUICK scene (dream or real) where one guy first grabs to embrace the other but pulls down his pants (as if to suggest fellatio). I AM positive I didn't fabricate this. Still didn't rewind or pause to be sure. It IS fast & one is left to wonder if it's one of the dreams or what.
All the same, I came here wondering what everyone made of that & to my surprise, see not ONE word. The "incest" speculation comes from the "own me" line from the brother & that is NOT where I first got it at all. I don't interpret that spoken line sexually to be honest.
Then again, this dream-like image is SO quick, easy to miss & left to wonder who & what it meant. It might've been dream-memory of their Father's (or any family) abuse. It didn't have to necessarily stand for the 2 brothers.
But of course that's the first place ones mind goes with no further exploration or reference. Because its story narrative comes during this reunion after estrangement & memories surfacing.

Honestly, it's there.
Maybe no big deal (to me it was) and why it's not commented upon here.

I saw that scene too and thought exactly the same thing, I think it is the director giving us a bit of a hint there was something going on between the two brothers that is very much part of their dysfunctional family dynamics. I am surprised as well that nobody has commented on that scene, and that it takes the words "own me" for people to start thinking--o'kay not just the words but also the overtly affectionate way the brothers seem to greet each other with--
As you say, it might have been the father being abusive, but notice the dream sequence quickly becomes a scene of what is happening in the present, and in this case, it is the two brothers together.
In my opinion, it is undeniable there was something going on between the two brothers.

Boy, I better get to a doctor because I see I started a post, am sure you're input is insightful & builds on whatever point I was trying to make & yet fail to remember this movie at ALL. Even after reading synopsis, can't recall WHICH movie this was. I have no recollection! And no...I don't see enough to explain that.

Appreciate you saw something (inferred) that I did, all the same.
