Catherine Keener

I think she is such a wonderful actress and therefore saw this movie because she was staring in it. It was awful. Her acting was delightful, but the script was very boring and Jane Fonda was terrible an not authentic.

She is wonderful. That is a shame about the movie.

I love Catherine Keener! I thought the movie was fine, it lived up to (low) expectations I had going in.

I gotta say, this is the second movie now I've seen with Elizabeth Olsen and I haven't enjoyed the experience-she either gets typecast as an air of holier than thou overeducated knowitallness..or that's all she can play cause that's all she is. Also on a superficial level-Maybe I'm used to the Olsen Twin nose because I feel like her nose is supposed to be differently shaped and my brain continues to "correct" it.

I've followed Catherine Keener's career every since I saw her in "Living In Oblivion" way back in 1995. She's the rare actress who can play intelligent women who have something going on upstairs besides "look at me I'm hot." Her acting method is understated which makes her characters even more believable. Even when the script is poisoned by contrived stereotypes, Catherine is capable of rising above banality and delivering a first rate performance, as was the case in "Peace,Love & Misunderstanding."

I hope she wins that elusive Oscar someday. She deserved one for "Being John Malkovich" and "Capote."

Yay!

I think that most of the films CK has been in are remarkable. This one was horrific. The script, plot and acting was bad all around. Thank goodness she is being directed by Nicole Holofcener again, because that is when she is her best. After all, she is her muse.

I think CK was very convincing in her part as the uptight lawyer. I enjoyed the film and will watch it again this week. To each their own.

I love Catherine Keener also, but her cardboard character quickly wore thin with me.

CK was the main reason I checked this movie out as well, I think she's one of the best actresses in the business. Personally I thought the only thing that saved the film from being a total waste was the cast. All of the principals were far better than the material they were given.

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.
