I really miss the guy. It seems like ever since he did the movie Red Planet, we haven't seen him in anything but B movies. This is the guy from HEAT and Tombstone. Someone please offer the guy something. Unless he is actually content with where he is at in life.

he is an actor he probably played the part as it ment to be made. But then again the producers might have said "who can we get to play a sherriff that sits on ass all day and does much of nothing" I kinda like this movie tho, no rube goldbergesque style killings, most of the plot was believeable

shareyeah, he was in so many awesome movies back in the day, from top gun to willow to tombstone to batman to the saint. he was quite the big superstar those days! what happened man? he got fat and stopped being the cool action hero.

So what's a viable alternative career choice for a famous person, or are you saying he should just retire? Entertainment careers have their peaks and valleys and the strong will ride them out, even doing substandard stuff like this. Keeping one's name out there is key if he wants to turn things around, and sooner or later he'll land something of quality.
