Elba just looks uncomfortably awkward trying to act “cool” with his pistols. I doubt he had any idea what the movie was supposed to be about, or its purpose. His face says “anything for a paycheck.”
And Mccohnahay just looks like a metrosexual dweeb.

shareIt wasn't great, but I'd say it's better than many were giving it credit for. I'd say it's about a 6/10.
Certainly since the book series has something of a legendary reputation I expected much more.
Elba was definitely mis-cast, they should've gotten Josh Brolin. As for The Man in Black, I like the casting of Matthew McConaughey, he has the voice and charisma, but his performance felt phoned-in. There were instances were he seemed like he was trying, but not nearly enough to convince me that he even wanted to be in the movie.
