A review

It's not a simple-minded film about Guan Yu. This is a carefully constructed consideration of what makes Guan Yu revered as righteous while Cao Cao is more often seen as an evil mastermind. It respects the source material provided by The Romance of the Three Kingdoms and produces one of the best martial arts films of the last few years.
