Why no messages?

Well here's one for you then.
Just watched it on DVD. Very impressed. In many ways I feel I've seen the story told so many times before, but it still felt fresh and potent. I think this is a director to watch. Not least since the short film included as an extra on the UK DVD was an absolute knock-out as well.
So you're not alone. I agree this has been criminally underrated.

I haven't seen it yet OP. In the meantime, would you explain what you mean? What makes this coming-of-age film more mature?
