Polariod scene... Stolen from the film shutter (original version)

Was just wondering if anyone has seen this film and the original version of shutter? This seems to have 'borrowed' a few ideas!!

Saw did it, too. Both Saw and Shutter were released the same year.

I don't know where the original idea is from, but that has been used in a LOT of movies over the years.

Try REAR WINDOW, the 1954 Hitchcock classic.
It's not a polaroid there, but a photo flash light James Stewart uses to defend himself in the dark.
