I don't get it...

Iam a female and i had a male best friend since i was 12 till i was 18 who looks exactly like Jay! Watching the movie reminded me so much of him. I always found my male best friend who looks like Jay to be very attractive but i never got with him or dated him. He was like Jay too and hinted to me he liked me but never actually made a move on me or said he liked me so at the time when i was in high school. I just never thought he was into me that way until we both finished high school and lost contact during college years and now i look back i think DUUUUHHHH! HOW STUPID! why didn't i see his Hints that he LIKED me! If i were to do over i so would have dated him!

Abby probably was the same in the movie.
