Maybe the point was using a stolen line. You know, to make the movie more realistic you can use celebrities from real world. So why can't you use a line? Maybe, they watched the movie together. Or it was Jay's favorite movie. Why not? x)

If that were true, they would've made a direct connection to Transformers by mentioning the name of the film. They did not.
