Silly error

Despite all of his CIA training and knowledge, the main protagonist forgets to wire the detonator switch (or in this case a dead man's switch) to the other three C4 charges.

The whole premise is a silly error. The company he works for completely disappears overnight and despite all of his CIA training and knowledge, instead of thinking something is up and he should be looking over his shoulder, he goes to the corporate headquarters like it's all a big mistake.

Oh yeah. He puts a guy in a choke hold and is surprised when he passes out/dies.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the error you're pointing out. Could you elaborate?

I'm assuming you're referring to the briefcase that was wired to blow the 2nd time it was opened?

reply

No, the plastique did not have a detonater attached to it; C4 has to have one or it will not detonate. His was an improved explosive so I would give him the benefit of the doubt.

reply

It wasn't set to explode the second time opening, it just wasn't opened far enough the first time. You even see Ben flinch when it was opened. And as for the goof, only one strip of the C4 would of exploded since only one was hooked up to the detonater.

reply

Yes it was. Go back and watch it and this time try paying attention and not think you know everything before it happens.

reply

I do believe C4 needs a blasting cap to detonate, not just a couple if wires stuck in it. mythbusters always talks about how stable C4 is and how it really needs a powerful pop like a blasting cap to set it off.
