When will people rise up?

It is obvious that politics, financial business and academics all are recruited from a relatively small network of so called elites. Obama's administration being no different (why did I expect otherwise - because I wanted to believe). There are no dividing lines between the cronies from Harvard, Yale (skull and bones), Wall Street, Congress and various administrations.

How bad will things have to get before people in this great country will wake up and realize that the current system will not get fixed. Democrats, Republicans, MSNBC, Fox - all these things are just smoke and mirrors. A system of misinformation and entertainment to keep the masses dumb.

What to do?

Judging from the amount of replies. The sheepeople like living under there rule.

America distracted for 3 years by the media-circus surrounding the Casey Anthony trial.....

but as far as corrupt human institutions go, I found out what the end-game is, if you really want to know.. this is the term on which to focus: living in shameless luxury... - drop me a line..

The problem is that there's not enough people who have been adversely affected by the system. As long as percentages are small most people are going to continue waiting for the same people who caused the problem to fix it. That bides time and so the system is given time to reproduce itself. People waiting and waiting for the system to get it right helps perpetuate.

The masses aren't DEMANDING anything of our financial system.. but folks are wigging out and demanding justice for Caylee. What were these same people doing about what happen to us financially?

Sounds just like the Roman empire. What happened to them again?

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.

reply

Yea but the Roman Empire didn't fall quickly. I agree the US is more or less a modern equivalent of Rome and that the US is currently in severe cultural and financial decline - but it could drag on for fricken' ages yet.

A very good question indeed and one I wonder about as well. When will we reach that tipping point? The tea-baggers are an interesting phenomenen right now, they actually have some political clout but all they're concerned about is not raising taxes. If a group formed and had the numbers and determination of the tea-baggers but instead was focused on cleaning up Wall Street and demanded the end of political lobbying maybe that would be a start. Currently, the tea-baggers are simply a very effective distraction and I have heard that they are getting funding from the very top money in America as well. The people of Wall Street are very smart, they have made Ronald Reagan a hero, they essentially own whoever has been in the White House ever since Ronnie and how they can be dislodged from outright running America is seemingly impossible. The first step is for voters everywhere to demand the end of lobbying, it is unique to America and is the basis for big money to own and control government.

Everyone gets everything he wants.

So right. Thanx for a decent answer to an indecent situation.

That is why they are not focused on cleaning up Wall Street. They are being egged on by Wall Street and their low/no tax mantra.

The American people will never rise up. Economics are not taught in high school and barely in college. I guess its too boring.

How can they resent something they don't even understand?

You are right on target, my friend. Thanks.

Psychos ruling the world.

They know how to lie, aren't easy to catch and there's always more of them. It's a hard task.

Maybe if we punish them, this could get a little better, but the power to do it is in their hands.

You know what? I am sick on my stomach after watching this for the last 3 days, intermittently. I agree whole-heartedly with what you said. After watching the special features on the DVD I am beyond ill. My head is ready to explode with all of this info I have been trying to splice together. The MSM is a joke and this "Doc" just proved it.

I voted for Obama, but after watching this I won't make the same mistake again. This all started with Reagan(the repugs' messiah) and these still waters run deep, my friend. They are all in it together and the grand heist is of the middle-class of the USA. We are now officially the rich and the poor. These bastards ruined the global economy for their own personal greed. Greed to these ppl. is like a drug addict trying to resist heroin. They can't stop!

After all the shenanigans pulled off in Washington with the Debt Deal, those republicans and democrats fighting like little children, Seeing us downgraded for the first time in our history, and the possibility of Quantitative Easing 3 watching this movie now really has my blood boiling.

Watching Inside Job during these recent days is like listening to Eminem's lose yourself. Lose yourself and just riot against these dirty corrupt politicians.

The subprime mortgage and credit meltdown are not related to the recent debacle in Washington where they didn't cut enough spending to preserve our debt rating.

The total lack of regulation by the govt, and the unwillingness to regulate the CDOs and credit default swaps is an example of the malfeasance by the feds, the same as raising the debt limit without any real cuts. There is the common denominator, incompetent Washington bureaucrats.

They are related in that sense.

Hoping the downgrade will bring about some real changes. It may be better for other nations governments to play hegemon to inspire this country to get its sh*t together.
