This movie reminded me a lot about 'Rocket Science'. There's a slight similarity on the characters and the plot but also on the way the movie was shot. What other movies have you seen that have this style of photography?

It's shot like the movie "Tadpole". The movies are extremely similar. In fact, it looks like the same apartment was used as the main character's home, which is also the same apartment Robin Williams and Julie Kavner lived in in "Deconstructing Harry."
