So is this going to be silly...

It is pretty silly. I saw it last week at a film festival. It's well made, and its humor is adorable at times. I wasn't completely taken by the film though. It had some wonderful comedic moments, but there are moments that drag on for way too long and it becomes so unnecessarily convoluted (which I'm sure is part of its humor, but it was slightly tedious in execution.) Overall, it was a positive experience and a fun ride. The kid playing Rantaro was just wonderful. I cannot believe how perfect he was in that role.
