Wolf Creek *SPOILERS*

The similarities between The Depraved and Wolf Creek were so obvious to me. While the locale may be different, the plot is exactly the same. From the minute I heard "it feels like we've been walking for hours" as the two victims are following the villain further into the catacombs I felt like I'd seen this before. Then came:

- the lead male (in Wolf Creek it was the lead female) awakens tied up after being drugged, gets loose and finds the girl tied up and tormented by the villain. He (she) sets up a diversion to distract the bad guy while he (she) rescues the girl. The villain catches them, and the good guys temporarily put him down, and escape with him hot on their tail

- The weeping girl is left behind in a ditch while the good guy (girl) runs back to the scene of the crime for more rope (in Wolf Creek was for a car)

- the hero (heroine) is captured at the last minute and horribly killed by the villain

- the girl left behind in hiding calls out to the hero, finally giving up and making a run for it

- the girl finally reaches the railroad tracks (in Wolf Creek it was the highway) which only leads to her death. The two sequences are shot almost exactly the same way.

I agree 100%

The vibe throughout the whole movie was the same.

Also, the kindly stranger who comes to the girl's assistance gets killed in both films.

They are practically identical in plot -- so much so that while I was watching "Urban Explorer", I thought that it was a remake.

Zactly! Also Wolf Creek has "now you're a head on a stick" and The Depraved has "time to take off your shirt".
