Don't understand the ending (SPOILERS)

Towards the end, Nick and his daughter are literally at the same place, only meters away, she probably even sees him before the explosion of the helicopter when Tony rans to help him. So how can they not "reach" each other? Even if it's very likely that the explosion killed her father, Sofia could at least check it out. Am I missing some part of the movie or is it really that "simple"?

That's not his daughter, that's the Asian chick Tony is dating.

OK, I don't know if I was blinded or just stupid, but now it makes sense. Thanks :)

Ha ha. I got confused too. They really do look alike. It was only when she opened her mouth and spoke in that accent that I realized it wasn't his daughter.

The girl in the end was the one who passed on information to Tony Jaa, his girlfriend in the movie. After the explosion, I thought all of them died. Anyways the ending had a smile on my face seeing the little girl on the train staring at Dolph Lundgren. Her chubby cheeks and her podgy hands with those big innocent and mischievous eyes. Children are always so curious about everything. Even the two kids who sneak a peek at Dolph when he washed his face at the old lady's house. I loved the movie and hope for a sequel like " Taken "
