Very good Sy Fy movie

This was a well written and acted "Sy Fy" movie. Notice I didn't say Sci-Fi, The actors were credible and did a good job with the script. I would rate this as a 8.5 on the Sy Fy channel scale. For imdb I rated it a 7. Very rarely do Sy Fy movies score above a 4 with me. This one was a treat to watch.

Those who have expressed their qualms with the movie. Movies made for the Sy Fy channel are not going to be 8 out of 10 on the standard imdb scale nor are they intended to be. Just fun movies, most miss the mark in my book but this one hit on the head.

I hope to see more of Jewel Staite

The movie was craptastic.. That being said.. at least it was watchable unlike a lot of other ones they have made.

I found the movie to be better than expected, not as low as on IMDB, but not a great one either. 5-6 out of 10 for me.

I enjoyed it, not seen that many movies from Sy Fy but this is one of the better ones, only thing they could have done to up the rating was the... Lego effects every time the ground cracks somewhere. They were ridiculous. And the ending could offer a bit more i´d say.

Just seen Doomsday Prophecy not the worst film I have seen so would give it a 4.5 out of 10 and was something to watch other than all the Olympics and Sport which is on the other sides.

I almost agree with you but one thing that i just cant get pass is the lazy scriptwriting that miss uses the Easter Island statues yet again ..theres no huge mystery to the statues and their not actually that ancient the first being about 1250ad the last of them being made in 1650s,no where near the 26,000 yrs mentioned in the film anyway i think the filmmakers got a bit confused with the whole 26,000yr thing actually ..what that relates to is "Axial precession" something that was known by the Mayans,Egyptians and other ancient cultures its only my opinion but the whole Mayan calender kerfuffle is probably down to the Mayan understanding of Axial precession/precession of the equinoxes which starts a new cycle very soon

Even though it was not Oscar quality, I thought it was a decent enough film. And this was not just because of Jewel Staite. She was certainly eye-candy, but she is also a competent actress in addition to being cute.
