The Director on this Series was a Pervert!

In one episode about the revolutionary war, the show mentioned that many women in Boston turned to prostitution because of high taxes and inflation. Okay. That's fine. It's relevant.

But rather than the director simply panning around 18th-century Boston streets where you could clearly see the prostitutes waiting by doorways, the director then went to zoom in and glide the camera around the cleavage of one of the prostitutes.

Another episode was about a woman and her daughter trying to survive the dust bowl. Again, I didn't mind the woman's story at all since it was relevant but I noticed that the director seemed to focus on the (beautiful) woman's cleavage. (Not only that her breasts were practically bursting out of the shirt.)

Was the director a pervert or what?

I was surprised to see, in the Civil War episode, a white man examining slaves at a slave auction and, as the narrator said that the highest-priced slaves were light-skinned teenage girls, the camera briefing catches a shot of the man's hands squeezing the breasts of a slave girl.

Although it is not PC to say so. The reason the Light skinned Teenage girls were among the highest priced slaves, was precisely for sex. And yes. A person buying a slave girl would examine her breasts the same way we might squeeze a grapefruit in a market to detect ripeness.

I can understand the panning to the breasts might be seen as gratuitous and unnecessary. But someone buying a slave girl for sex would grope her before he purchased her.

Oh go and watch Bollywood will ya? It's u women that drop thousands of dollars on your chest. Are all those with breast implants perverts too bc they're focusing on their titties? Get over it and thank god you're not speaking German.
