Michael Douglas also had to ramble on about the American spirit on 235 separate occasions. He knows better than you or any historian. He's on TV! PAY ATTENTION DAMN IT!
its true that the entire world changed, but the airplane, while invented here, did not make america unique in any way i dont think. thats maybe why it wasnt included
Like I wrote earlier, I don't mind that they glossed over WWI since it was mostly a European war. I just wish it was quickly mentioned and how the Treaty of Versailles which led to WWII.
The Wright Bros. were shafted indeed. I'm glad they mentioned Henry Ford and the assembly line but the history of the airplane was important too.
They also left out the impact of JFK's assassination and the Cuban missile crisis before it.
"Where am I? Purgatory!" "Worse. You're in Texas."
the treaty of Versailles didn't lead to World war II. First world war II in Asia, in which tens of millions also died, and in which more (way more)Americans died, and which more American resources were used, had zero to do with Versailles. Zero.
Second, in Europe, Versailles had almost nothing at all to do with World War Two. The fundamental causes of conflict were all there.
