I thought Robin was Tim Drake in this series??? (S1 Ep 24)
I could've sworn it was established that Robin was Tim Drake in the series, but the ringmaster called him Dick Grayson?
shareHe was always Dick Grayson. Barbra Gordon refers to him as Dick at Gotham Acadamey (S1 E12). Furthermore, it is very obvious that Grayson is Robin in episode 24. The only reason the team is on the mission was because they were under Robin's leadership. This mission was not given to them by the League, but a personal choice made by Robin. Grayson's intentions were to prove the ringmaster's innocence. Robin's connection to the circus has always been a main staple in Grayson's origin story.
However during the second season, Tim Drake is Robin.

So Dick is Nightwing in 2nd season?

Yeah, five years have passed since the end of Season 1. Dick has "graduated" from the Robin side-kick persona to Nightwing, and Tim Drake is the new Robin. They also picked up Batgirl, and a bunch of others for The Team aka Young Justice.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
I'm super late to the party...watching it on netflix now...always loved the series but never knew when it came on and pretty sure I was in grad school at the time so didn't have the freedom to watch it whenever. What do you think the major reason for the 5 year time shift from the end of Season 1 to Season 2? Mostly to add characters? To advance the missing 16-hour time loss of the Justice League characters plot? Interesting approach, but I feel like I missed some of the major drama from the teams formative years...
