Liam Neeson

I've only seen trailers for The Prophet, but it seems Liam is still incapable of changing his voice in any way for animation. Can someone who has seen the film, tell me if it seems out-of-place. It really grated on me compared to the other characters in the trailer.

You don't hire someone with a distinctive voice and then make them change it.

Who says violence is not the answer?

I'm saying his distinctive voice does not suit this film - So I don't understand why they hired him. Judging on what I've seen, they have at least attempted to use Arabic voices for minor characters. Liam Neeson couldn't sound less Lebanese if he tried - and it didn't suit the appearance of his character.

Just watch it. If you like it then you like it. If you don't then you don't. Pretty simple.

reply

Well yes, that's a fair comment.
But kind of a redundant one on a forum website built for discussing films.

His voice works for this character. Simple enough. No need to over analyze it.

He does the best job in the movie. The rest is pretty standard animated acting and a disappointing job from Wallis.
