The Hangover ripoff?

Was this script in the works around the same time as the hangover was being released? It just seems that it has the same post-stag party bafoonery as we see in both the Hangover movies. Both movies have the anal retentive, the playboy and the disturbed (by break up or mental problems). Very similiar, just with accents.

Dont get me wrong, i liked the Hangover franchise and found this movie very funny as well. I guess movie history is full of stag and wedding humour, and its just the timing that makes it look like a rip off.

Hangover rip-off? Yes, and then some.

But why would you even want to rip-off The Hangover anyway? How could that make for anything positive?

You're both wrong, Dean Craig wrote the script in 2006 but it was in production limbo for five years.

Fair point but I'm sure The Hangover being released during that time would have had some influence on various script changes. It certainly has the feel of a film like The Hangover. Marketed like such as well.

I'm pretty sure The Hangover 2 was the real Hangover ripoff.
