WE AUSTRALIANS THOUGHT THIS FILM WAS S----T AS WELL. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS FILM AS ANY INDICATION OF WHAT WE FIND FUNNY. WE APOLOGISE IF YOU SAT THROUGH THIS WHOLE THING
IF YOU ARE AMERICAN, JUST THINK OF THIS FILM AS OUR BELATED REVENGE FOR TRANSFORMERS 2. CALL IT EVEN
Speak for yourself mate, there were plenty of Australians who liked or loved this movie and found it funny. You are not the spokesperson for all us Aussies.
This movie is trying so hard to be a "Four weddings and a funeral" And "A death at a funeral" etc, and has failed miserably. Bad comedy, bad acting and to much of a try hard. And I can see why Olivia neutron bomb doesn't get many acting roles these days. And the lead actress, the girl getting married, there was no empathy for her at all, no connection with her, horrible casting and bad teeth. The ram did well though.
Yeah, not a hater, also from Oz. Movie was basically crap, had it's moments, but just did not hit the mark at all. Don't really know if it was the script, the acting (lack of...) or directing. It just did not work - maybe they tried too hard. Also, did anyone pick up on the bad accents on the lead (an Aussie trying to sound too English) and the girl (an Aussie who has lived too long in the US...) ONJ's accent is also weird but were used to it, more used than her mask of a face! Now that looks weird.
If that's your opinion I will have to be the spokesperson.
You have had me in stitches!
I haven't seen this, I'm English. I shall have to go and see it though, Xavier Samuel right! In the trailer his Australian came through though, he's meant to be English right?

Admittedly the last gross-out movie I saw was The Change Up, which managed to be grossly offensive for all the wrong reasons,eg. CGI tits, and prudish AND not at all funny at the same time.
So really what I'm saying after the urine-boarding experience that was The Change Up, this movie was brilliant.
(Spoiler below)
Bit disappointed the sheep, after eating enough cocaine to kill an Bill Wyman and enough laxatives for a herd of constipated elephants, didn't do something gross out and funny at the end.
7/10
Don't Care What The Governments Say They're All Bought And Paid For Anyway
I don't really find gross funny but I love your characterization of Bill Wyman, he he.
The Change Up left me cold, too. I might try to see it again. Don't remember much about it but just remember that movie as having tried hard and not striking a chord for me.
Hmmm ... well, I'm glad you turned me on to the fact that Xavier is Australian; that for me might be the one downer with the movie. I just wish they would cast people who really have the accent for the most part. The one exception for me might be Elisabeth Moss in Top of the Lake. She's American, I believe, doing an okay New Zealand accent.
But I am bad with accents. I just recently saw Neighbors and thought Rose Byrne was British. But she was supposed to be from Australia ... and she is from Australia!
Didn't have a problem with Liv's face. Don't find botox attractive but in this case I guess I didn't remember her younger years well enough to have a frame of reference. I thought she was funny when she got looped. Never thought of the YMCA song as being such a crowd rouser.
