Um, we just rented this movie. One of the worst ever.

Also, I think it deserves an award for most deceptive movie cover ever. I can't imagine how they managed to get Peter Stormare to do this. High budget, I guess.

It's also a bit entertaining how they are recruiting avid followers to go give the movie 10 here on IMDB (which is why nearly 50% has given it 10, I suspect).

Can I ask if there is anybody out there, not connected to the christian following, supporting this who wholeheartedly loved the movie? I would be genuinly surprised. :)

I agree, the actors are all talented and include some of my favorites but this story should have never made it to the screen, big or little. I would guess that some of the actors did get paid but many more probably did it for little or nothing, maybe believing the storyline to be, more/less, true. I'm in my sixties and have seen a lot of movies. My question concerning this work is why anybody thought that this was a good idea?
I'm a nobody but I have been around long enough to have seen plenty of duds and to realize that when talented people feel the need to produce a pet project and turn it into a movie, it usually doesn't appeal to the audience as much as it did to the producers. Unfortunately, this appears to be a pet project which I'm sure is widely popular inside the group of people that made it. :(
