Blair Witch Project knock off.

I really hope not

No. Just because a movie claims to be "Found footage." Doesn't make it a Blair witch rip off. This type of movie has crafted itself into it's own sub-genera.

FINALLY!!!! Another Found Footage film in the woods! This one looks so good. We get a million ones about ghosts in houses, even a handful about aliens.... but Blair Witch bloody popularized the whole genre, it's the flippin' Beatles of found footage and nobody does any found footage movies in the woods??

I guess it makes sense. Took 8 years after Cannibal Holocaust before people started using the found footage format for themselves, I guess some things are just too good to try and copy. Blair Witch certainly fits that description. ;)

In any case.... obviously this isn't much of a Blair Witch Project rip-off. I don't remember the Blair Witch being an enormous beast. Add that to the list of why this movie looks freaking sweet, it's got a monster!! I love monsters. Way underused in the found footage genre. Probably the most realistic paranormal atagonist you could use in a found footage film is an unknown maneating creature.

This just shot up above Unaware as the film I'm most excited for! I wish this *beep* was already out.

I actually thought the Blair Witch middle of the film was far better than the beginning and the end - think the whole ending should have been re-written because a BW rip-off would have been far better than the end result :)

Half Irish, Half German - hated by all. But at least I'm not Welsh

Cannibal Holocaust (1979) is the forerunner of the found footage genre, not BWP.
