Did anyone else notice?

They seemed to keep a few mistakes in. I only really spotted a few early on in the movie, but it seemed to me like they were deliberately kept in to add to the realism.

I also noticed what seemed like a few ad-libs from the actors.

I haven't decided if I actually liked the movie yet, but those things were pretty cool.

It would be helpful if you state what you saw as a mistake so I know what you're talking about.

Well as you haven't agreed, you obviously didn't notice any!

There was a bit when one of the girls stumbled while they were trekking through the woods that looked like an actual stumble, not an acted one. One of the guys mixed up the names of the girls and she laughed and made a joke out of it, again it seemed real, not acted. I'm sure there was a couple of other things, but I can't remember off hand.

The ad-lib I noticed was when the blond girl was packing and her boyfriend was filming her, she left the room and gave a little wave and he said something about it being a gay little wave. Her reaction seemed real, not scripted.

Maybe these little things were clever writing, but the writing as a whole wasn't great, so I doubt it. Or maybe because it was filmed on such a small budget, very few takes were done and the little mistakes were kept.

I'm sure they didn't waste time writing full dialog for the first half of the film, just gave general direction.

Good point. I do enjoy it when they give the actors freedom and leave in little quirks. It makes a movie so much more realistic.

It doesn't just function to keep the budget and work load down, it does make characters come across as more realistic, and these movies without chemistry are unwatchable.

Do people not know that Ryan (the documentary guy) wrote the actual script ? He made decisions while filming, I reckon.

reply

Hahaha so Ryan wrote in the script for his gf to tell him to "go eat a dick & eff off?"
