Wish the DVD had interview with director

I'd love to have heard the director discuss how the film was able to look so authentic, and probably at rock-bottom budget too. Who were the whites at the hotel, the soldiers? I know, in the movie they were guests at the hotel, but who were they really? Were the Chadian soldiers in the streets real soldiers working as extras? How were the streets, after the rebels had advanced to the city, made to have all traffic disappear?

On and on, more questions. The film could have had more detail, more dialogue, fewer moments when nothing happens, but I liked it if only for a glimpse of Chad and how life must be in countries where political stability isn't taken for granted. But what I most want to know is how the film maker made his film.

Film Movement is largely to blame, almost never - maybe never ever - giving us extra features that include a discussion with the director or cast.
