I heard this anime was great but was wondering if anybody can explain the plot to me, also i have two questions:
1. How many episodes does this have?
2. Does this have a dub?

The series has only 13 Episodes, and has an English Dub. You can watch it on Hulu.
That said, the story is a bit complex and difficult to explain, but if you wathc it its realy simple.
It is abotua High School, whose sudents are either deceased souls who had lead unfulfillign lives and viewed them as unfair, or else had some other reason o hang onto life, or else NPC's", who seem to simply be programmes.
The story centres around the Batrlefront, lead by Yuri, who meets the principle Character,Otonashi, a male lead, in episode one, explaisn that heis dead and cna no logner die, and will recover from any injury. Yuri is also aimign a sniper rifle at some girl, called "Angel". When Otonashi asks Angel about it, she stabs hiim in the chst. he recovers.
Thereafter, he joined the Battlefront, helpign hem batle Angel and tryin to figure out what the place is really all about.
At it's core it is about damaged people finding peace. That's what all summaries on Angel Beats should say.
I also thought the sadness and humor aspects were really well done and captivating. Basically the payoff for watching this anime is a goldmine.
