If this film is eligible for Oscar consideration then...
Tammy Blanchard should be nominated for Best Supporting Actress!

shareShe was so believable. She makes you hate her throughout the movie.
shareYet, by the end I felt sympathy towards her. She was, to me, a complex woman who throughout her life thought "being beautiful" and having a "good body" was all she had to offer. An abused woman, abused mostly by her own deep insecurities.
shareNot Oscars because it's not a theatrical release but it can be eligible for Golden Globes and I believe Emmys as well.
shareIt did get a theatrical release and it's as eligible as "Beasts of No Nation" was last year (but it failed to get any nominations despite of Idris Elba's SAG win, amongst others).
I haven't seen this yet, but Blanchard was also good in this year's brilliant and underrated horror "The Invitation" (also streaming on Netflix now). She won an Emmy for "Me and My Shadows: Life With Judy Garland" and is a Tony nominee as well. Very talented woman who should be in films more often.
Without you, today's emotions would be the scurf of yesterday's.
It did get a theatrical release in various cities.
shareTallulah will be eligible for Oscars. The movie was given a theatrical release by Netflix!
shareAgreed, the acting was top notch all-around but she stood out
