They changed the name to maternal obsession...it's on LMN now

I just figured out that they changed the name. How annoying. My question is why does the other name not show up in IMDB.com?

reply

Was thinking the same thing myself! Saw most of it last night and wanted to look it up on IMDB but couldn't fine it under 'Maternal Obsession' - the name Lifetime had on the guide.

I don't understand why IMDb hasn't changed the name so the page has an accurate movie title. Normally IMDb is phenomenal about having correct information and the majority of movies/shows listed correctly. I found it very odd this movie has been out since 2010 and it's September of 2013 with this still being incorrect. However, I am not aware of the date the title was changed, and this could have been something that was done recently. Either way, I am not sure how to contact the site administrators in order to notify them of the mistake so if anyone can provide information or has done so already, it would be greatly appreciated :)

If you look up "Maternal Obsession", under "Titles", two titles show up. The original movie with this name, and "Locked Up". "Locked Up" shows with the alternate title "Maternal Obsession".

This isn't a "mistake" on the part of IMDB; many movies have more than one title. IMDB always lists the original title a movie was given first, than any alternate names.
