Evil Kids

One of my projects is a list of my favorite evil kids in movies and tv shows.

To be on the list the character has to be evil in my opinion or else in the opinion of the creators of the movie or show or in the opinions of viewers. Thus it is possible that I might not consider some of the kids on the list as evil as others do, and vice versa.

And to be on the list the character has to one that I love to hate, or perhaps like or sympathsize with despite how evil they might or might not be.

And if The Villains of Valley View continues for much longer I might have to add the kids in it to my list of favorite fictional evil kids, just as I did with most of the kids in The Wizards of Waverly Place.

In "Belts, Bulls and Superfans" June 17, 2022, Amy and Hartley team up to steal the belt Amy's mother lost in a battle from Milo, a kid who collects superhoro memorabilia. Milo tracks them to Amy's home and then, instead of calling the police or a superhero, he confronts them in the family's lair. The confrontation turns violent when the kids grab ray guns and start shooting at each other. In the end they give Milo Flashform's supervillain helmet as a bribe to keep their secret.

Good kids don't shoot at anyone, especially other kids. All the kids in the confrontation are guilty of recklessly endangering the lives of minors, if not attempted murder.

An evil(er) clone of Jake is created in "The Two Jakes" July 20,2022. He returns in "A Superhero in Valley View". Vic plans to trap evil(er) Jake with 13-year-old Colby's help and then disintegrate evil Jake, and Coby is fine with that plan. Since the Maddens are former supervillains, they don't disapprove of evil(er) Jakes misdeeds as much as the superheroes do. But when the superheros capture evil(er) Jake he isn't killed but taken to prison. So 13-year-old Colby shows a great disregard for human life by agreeing to help his father disintegrate evil(er) Jake.

Colby's willingness to help his father hunt and kill someone (who could be considered a brother) remeinds me of Michael Kallinger (b. 1962) who helped his father in his crime spree in 1974-75. He was present when his father killed a woman, and possibly when his brother Joseph Jr. was killed, and possibly when a little boy was killed..

In "Bad Energy" November 11, 2022, Amy and Colby need to get Colby's helmet as supervillain Flashform back from Milo. Milo agrees to give the helmet back in a meeting with Flashforn at the school, but then tries killing Flashforn with anti-supervillain weapons. The kids watching cheer Milo on, so at least they are ethical enough to dispise supervillains. But haven't they heard about arresting criminals and giving them trials before sentencing and punishing them, instead of shooting them on sight? Flashform hasn't done anything major villainous yet as far as they know. Why aren't they angry at Milo for recklessly endangering their lives in a fight with a supervillain where bystanders could get caught in the crossfire?

Later there is a scene where Amy tells Milo, depessed beause he failed to imperess the other kids, that he should stop trying to impress people and just be himself, and people will like him because he is a nice kid. I also thought that Milo was a nice kid - untile he started shooting at people in "Belts, Bulls and Superfans"! The way that Amy overlooks MIlo's recent attempt to kill someone and thinks he is a nice kid shows what low ethical standards she has.

So it looks like if The Villains of Valley View lasts long enough, most or all of the kids in the show will wind up on my list of favorite evil kids in movies and tv.

In "Escape Room" 11-18-22 Hartley apparently kills someone by disintegrating them, and Amy and Colby apparently kill someone by vaporizing them.
