Dead in the water?
Storyline: An exposition of cyclist Lance Armstrong as he trains for his eighth Tour de France victory.
I believe the idea of a film/documentary about Armstrong (with Matt Damon attached) has been kicking around for sometime. I think narrowing its focus to the pursuit of his 8th Tour victory (in the 2010 season) is a mistake - it would be out-of-date by the 2013 release date.
This is further underscored by the recent (summer 2012) USADA doping charges. Who's going to be interested in the minutiae of Armstrong's 2010 training schedule when a huge controversy like this is unfolding/concluding?
