Sequel

Armie Hammer was quoted that a sequel is being penned and has a very good chance of being financed. YAY!

On the one hand I find this a bit tough to believe. The movie only did 40 something mil in the US with a 75 million dollar budget, and while it did well in Russia and grossed over 100 mil worldwide, it didn't meet the "twice the budget to break even" criterion. I doubt there was much from merchandising either. However, Hollywood is so sequel happy these days that I honestly wouldn't be surprised by any sequel. Maybe they're thinking that they'll cut the budget and market the movie more heavily in Russia/Europe. It coudl also be a popular movie with streaming DVDs implying that there would be a bigger market for a sequel.

I liked it so I wouldn't mind seeing one. I go for classic spy films like this. One of the few films where the ending made me want a sequel.

I really hope we get a sequel. And I hope there is more tie-in marketing, action figures, etc.

I look forward to that.

I wonder how those plans are coming along.

Don’t hold your breath.

This was an INSULT to the TV series. Pure crap.
