i don't understand how people on this board can seem to despise every cast member in the show yet still continue to watch every episode just so they can complain about how much they hate them. don't any of you haters have a life?

I don't think it makes sense to question whether someone has a life or not based on their opinions of the women on this show. Basketball Wives is a guilty pleasure and most of the people who watch the show don't like the cast at all so if they all stopped watching, there would be no show.

Not to be snarky, but I could ask the same question about visiting the message boards. Obviously you like some of the cast members (at least I can tell you like Evelyn), so why keep coming back to hear people bash them, when you know that's going to happen? For that matter, why do the women in this show continue to place themselves in situations that they know will end badly?
The best answer I can give you is that we're human, and humans are often irrational. These women are entertaining to some degree, so many of us continue watching, even though it's clear that we could be making more productive uses of our time. It's a human flaw, and a difficult flaw for many people to overcome.
I have to admit, it's my guilty pleasure.

I dont think they mean to be "bad" people in general and most of the conflict is clearly because of the camerasa and ratings but if theres anyone singularly to blame for the lack of quality in this show look no further than Shaunie O'Neal. Theres times where she could stop the fighting or at least make an effort to squash the conflict and she dosent.
This show really makes a mockery of Black women and actually shouldnt exsist at all unless they do some major retooling.

You don't understand because you're approaching it the wrong way. Most people enjoy the show itself, but not the characters. That is to say, they enjoy all the backstabbing, shouting matches, and throwing objects. But enjoyment of the fighting doesn't mean they like the women who are fighting.
To put it another way, I love basketball. I hate the Lakers and the Heat, but I can watch and genuinely enjoy a game between the 2. Why? Because I love the sport, and enjoy watching great basketball performances. So I can talk about Kobe like a dog while I'm watching him play, but still enjoy the fact that he's scoring 50 points.
You also can't sit on a high horse. We're all wasting time here. Defending quasi-celebrities that you don't know is wasting time, just as attacking them is wasting time. And when you consider the quality of people you're defending, an appeal to morality is not warranted.

i watch because it's something to watch. Just like i watch soap operas and hate certain characters. It's all tv and acting to me. There are villians on the show and maybe there are heros or stand outs. That's the whole point.
I don't have to idolize these women. they don't desere a nobel peace prize for sleeping with some athlete. they haven't accomplished a damned thing in life except putting on makeup, a cheap dress, and sleeping with famous millionaires. What's to like? the show ist here to entertain and so it entertains me.
