Tami sounds quite disappointed ....

That her mother isn't dead yet. Or is it just me???

reply

Yes, you are very observant. I thought the conversation she had with the doctor was very confusing and a cringe-worthy scene. It's like she expected to hear grave news.

reply

It's not just you.

Wow, Tami. Really?

i know, she was sounding disappointed that he was giving them hope. "wait a minute, the other doctor said she was going to die?" basically...

What burns me up is this woman's incredible selfishness and utter lack of compassion. She made the entire appointment about her. She didn't ask about any treatments, or medications or potential for getting better. She thinks she's on an emotional rollercoaster? SHE'S NOT THE ONE DYING! The look on that doctor's face was like, "Is this bitch serious" and I agree wholeheartedly.

I swore I wasn't going to judge Tami's grieving process anymore after I made some pretty judgmental comments about her here when she first complained about having mom live in her home during her final days. I thought perhaps her words had been badly edited and I just felt I should give her the benefit of the doubt instead. But after seeing her conversation with her mom's doctor..........I'd be lying if I didn't say she came across extremely cold and self serving once again.

There must be some underlying issues in her relationship with her mother for her to be this insensitive. If I were her mom sitting there, I'd have felt like my daughter was disappointed that I might not die. That is the impression that Tami left, whether she intended to or not, because she made the whole situation about herself and the inconvenience her mother's illness has brought into her life.

i think it's more-so she does not want to receive good news just to be disappointed again. it's pretty much back and forth. one minute her mother's condition is grave, then there is hope for recovery, then they get the news once again that her mom's condition is bad. it's an emotional rollercoaster, as tami put it. so i don't think she's "disappointed" that her mom is getting better, she just doesn't want to get her hopes up just to have them crash down again

reply

I agree with you duchess. I think her disappointments are with the Drs. And we don't know if she asked about treatments and all that or not. We just know what we were shown.

Thank you Duchesse!

She made me do it.....

^I think you could very well be right about that. It's just the way that she says things comes across so cold that it can be misleading. Hopefully those closest to her, especially her mother, know her well enough to understand her true intentions.

Kinda reminds me of that comment Jennifer Aniston made years ago when she said Brad Pitt was "missing a sensitivity chip". Tami seems to be missing one, too.

Yes, I agree. I think that perfectly describes Tami. I haven't seen the last few episodes but her response to Jazz being robbed was backwards, imo.

I can't tell whether Tami is really this cold hearted or if it's the way she expresses herself that is being misunderstood because we don't know her on that level. Either way, I hurt for her mom when she was sitting right next to her listening to what seemed like complaining about the possibility that she could actually survive her cancer. Perhaps it was the back and forth emotional battle with being given what could be a false glimmer of hope that upset Tami, as others have said. But the way she said it....DAMN! If I was mom, I'd be feeling like my daughter didn't want me around.

That's what I was thinking. Who wants to be told your mom's fine. Oh wait, she's gonna die. No, she's fine. Are you kidding me? I'm sure her mom was thinking the same thing.

And I know that doctors aren't gods but when it's you, it's a huge issue.

reply

She's ready to collect that life insurance....

Ok just watched it. Omg...what a hooker. She's so cold. "I can't be emotionally available" Jesus, your mom is right there!! The Dr thought what a bitch. What a horrible daughter...human being. Soooo self centered.

To be fair believe that their family is not a lovey dovey emotional type of family. When Nadine was talking about moving out of Tami's house so that Tami nor her daughter would see her looking bad in her last days she even told Tami she knows that she can't handle things like that. Everyone is not programed to think or emote the same. I know for me when bad things happen I tend to shut down just to get myself together, while others can shake things off and keep it moving.

LOL. Horrible just like saying how she didn't want to be inconvenienced having her dying mother at home. Unless the mother was like that with her as a child so what goes around... Even so, the woman was dying. It's her mother with whom she seemed close. Cold! I hope BB wives come back but with evelyn in the $ now..
