So it's like Sliders

Except this time it's a movie?

Mmh, the basic idea, yes. The rest of it: I don't think so. At least as far as the trailer shows.

For everyone who mentions it as a rip off of Sliders, That's just a godawfully stupid way to see something. Eww. Sliders is the only Sliders. Duh. Rhys-Davies alone is enough of a clue to hint that these stupid bastards will attempt to make a series out of this film though. Love Flanigan, Love Davies. But watching this movie was like watching children pretend something is chasing them because nothing is really there.

Sort of like watching any episode of Lost. Ever.

Also, Quantum Leap > Sliders.

What was the science behind it, anyway?

It SEEMED to be "We've invented a desktop cold fusion reactor to solve the world's energy problems and, you're gonna love this, it vindicates my Da's work and lets us have a gander at parrallel worlds."

More like 'Sound of Thunder' 2.
