Peter Griffin
All I heard when Ted talked was Peter Griffin from "Family Guy". Totally took me out of the game. MacFarlane should have stepped up his game.

shareHe tried not to. He tried to just do Bostonian accent, but always ended up just sounding like Peter. So he stuck to it.

The highest grossing R-rated live action comedy movie of all time at $550 million worldwide...MacFarlane even jokes about the Peter Griffin voice in the movie:
TED (after John was imitating and making fun of Ted): I do not sound that much like Peter Griffin.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Not the highest grossing R-rated live action comedy movie of all time. Hangover Part 2.
"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"
Yep you're right...Hangover II $587M worldwide, Ted $549M.
Still pretty damn impressive, particularly on a $50M budget.
Apparently I missed one key word from the release stating Ted held the record:
Worldwide, Ted has now earned $549 million, which makes it the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy ahead of the first Hangover's $467.5 million...so original, as in, non-sequel.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
That's a lot of caveats, though. I like the movie, but it needs so many qualifiers to be considered the best.
1. worldwide
2. original
3. R-rated
4. comedy
5. without inflation
"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"
Why are you ruining the thread with this off topic highest grossing movie garbage?
I hate people like you. Go and start your own boring dull thread about dull boring financial movie stats.
We want to discuss Peter Griffin.
Now do one you kocknocker, and go stink up someone else's day.
Did you really just reply to a three year old post like that? What was the point? I already stopped after correcting his fact.
shareI completely agree with the OP.
Seth MacFarlane should have let another actor do the voice for Ted. For me that would have improved the movie a lot.
There was a number of times that he switched between Peter and Brian.... Teds voice throughout the movie was not very constant (until probably the last quarter)
shareAnd every time Mila Kunis opened her mouth I could only hear Meg...... :-)
shareI agree with this, anyone notice Stewie when he was mimicking the fish?
shareHe's MacFarlane, not Mel Blanc. When I watch Bob's Burgers, I recognize the guy from Archer but I realize they are different characters. He wasn't always Peter Griffin at least, only sometimes.
He definitely sounded a lot like Peter Griffin, but it wasn't quite the same voice. It was lower and closer to Seth's real voice, that's why he sounded kinda like Brian too.
shareLol exactly my point. Wosrt *beep* voice movie ever. Stick to wat he is good ar Peter Griffin. Js .
