Yeah, it's random and weird, and that's what makes it funny, I get it. But where is that coming from? Is he a noted Boston personality or something?
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
If we are playing the Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon (Ted version), the only connection I see is when Ted refers to himself as looking like "that Alien." You know the scene. Tom Skerritt was the commander in the original Alien movie.
Outside of that, I've got nothing.
